About me

Nicole
First and for most, I'm a newlywed and loving it! I got married to the love of my life, Mr Tyler Reitz, December 15th 2007 and it was the most wonderful day of my entire life. Every day Tyler and I are learning new things about each other and life together and we grow closer and closer each day. Of course we have our ups and downs, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Wishing

Thursday, March 13, 2008

I wish so badly that I could be crafty and make things. Such as knit, sew, and just be amazing with creating things! I was looking at an amazing blog a little bit ago and it made me wish I could make my own dresses! Dresses are my favorite clothing to wear and to be able to make them whenever I wanted would make me the happiest person ALIVE! But honestly I'm not a very artsy or creative person, AT ALL. I always get pretty good ideas in my head, but when I try to make them it all turns out wrong.

I wish that Shelley (my sister-in-law) didn't move to Texas because she was a very very creative, artsy person and she was my inspiration! Shelley, ugh, why did you have to move!! ;-)
So, I think once I have kids and become a stay at home mom, I'm going to buy a sewing machine and start to make dresses for myself, because I WILL need new clothes after having kids, right? If I didn't have a job right now, I would probably start to try and be creative, but right now, I have no time, but I wish I did!!
If anybody lives around me and can teach me how to make cute dresses, please let me know! :-)

hiya, cutie! I miss you too!

But our mother in law is quite the seamstress. She made the bridesmaid dresses for my (and Kevin's wedding) and I bet she'd love to show you how to sew. And I'm going to have Grandma Bev give me a sewing lesson when I'm back in april...you wanna come?

love ya!!!

Shelley beat me to it! I was going to say that my mom knows how to sew really well. And, there is such a thing as pattern that helps you make really cute dresses. So, no, my mom wouldn't actually be designing them, just following a pattern to make a cute dress out of the pattern and fabric that you choose. Ask her about it some time!
